What is flow arts?
The Flow Arts Institute defines Flow Arts as "a general term used to describe the intersection of a variety of movement-based disciplines including dance, juggling, fire-spinning, and object manipulation. The broad category Flow Arts includes a variety of pursuits that harmonize skill-based techniques with creative expression to achieve a state of present-moment awareness known as Flow." Forms of flow arts available to explore at a Glow Flow Party include hula hoop, mini hoops, fiber optic whips (adults only), poi, staff, contact staff, double staff, and ropedart! Some of these props evolved from the circus and other from martial. Now they come together for loads of fun!
Who will enjoy a Glow Flow Party?
- Families - Kids love it! I'm a pro at igniting a creative spark in all personalities! Shy, extra expressive, neurodivergent, and mainstream! Adults love it just as much so it is a wonderful family bonding expereince.
- Friends - Birthdays, bachelorette, holidays, or just because you've been cooped up for 6 months! Glow Flow is a perfect time to get out with your pod and do something totally unique!

- Singles - Just YOU! YES! You! Just because you deserve it! You will get one on one personalize attention to learn any a handful of fun tricks from a pro! You might even find flow arts to be the past time you never knew you needed!
What will we do at the Glow Flow Party?
This 90 minute expereince will begin with a brief introduction of each of the props: the basic of how to use it. Next we will start what we call a "spin jam" where I will play great dance music and your group will get to explore creative movement while lighting up the night in LED colors and strobes! You will have the opportunity play and explore with the props in your own way and to figure out which one you like best. The I will teach you some beginner moves and by the end of the expereince I would LOVE to help choreograph a short group LED video for tik tok or other social media as a means to share you expereince with friends and family!
